Recently I decided to test some interesting beauty products again and create ranking for you. This time, I focused on DIY cluster lashes. These false lash clusters are applied underneath real lashes, which makes applying them much easier. To check if they are really so convenient, I tested different lash extension kits for home use. After testing many kits, I can safely say that there is no better method for me. While doing so, I paid attention to the differences between products from popular brands and chose the ones that work best.
Searching for the best lash extension kit
I can’t hide the fact that I was anxious to find the perfect lash extension kit, since I often reach for cluster lashes. My natural lashes are not thick, so I try to emphasize them for every occasion. I love it when my look is expressive, so I decided to test products from reputable brands with positive reviews.
My ranking included: Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit, Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit, Intro Starter Kit from Lilac St, and Falscara Starter Kit by KISS. Thanks to these products, I discovered that creating phenomenal makeup can be quick and effortless, taking less than half an hour.
My impressions after testing different lash extension starter kits
I decided to test six different products. Each of the selected kits came from leading brands, so I expected high quality clusters from the start. The reviews from other female users were also flattering. In the end, my experiences were mixed, but I found kits that I can recommend wholeheartedly.
1. NANOLASH DIY EYELASH EXTENSIONS Starter Kit
In my ranking, the first place went to the Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit. It immediately made its way into my makeup bag and no other kit has impressed me as much. I’ve been familiar with the Nanolash brand for a long time and have always been satisfied with their products, so I expected great results.
Nanolash kit provides:
- Cluster lashes: 36 pieces in three lengths (10, 12, 14 mm), available in eight different styles.
- Bonder: A formula for applying the clusters, ensuring a long-lasting application.
- Sealer: A protective formula that fixes the clusters to real lashes.
- Remover: A remove the lashes safely without damaging the natural lashes.
- Applicator: A tool that facilitates precise application of the clusters.
In this kit, the cluster lashes are available in three lengths: 10, 12, and 14 mm, and in eight different styles, allowing every woman to find the perfect shape for herself.
I started applying the lashes same day I received the kit, and it took me less than 10 minutes, which was a huge surprise to me. The fact that the clusters lasted on my natural lashes for a full week was an even bigger plus. Nothing happened to them during that time, and when I removed them using the remover, I found that I could reuse them! What’s more, I didn’t notice that my natural lashes were damaged or strained in any way. Definitely, this set will stay with me for a long time. I plan to test other styles of the lashes from Nanolash.
2. Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit
Another lash extension kit in my ranking is the Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit. I have to commend it for being complete – exactly like the one from Nanolash. Not only does it come with cluster lashes, a bonder and an applicator, but also with a remover and a sealer. You can opt for different styles of lashes, making it possible to match the kit to the desired results.
In the case of Glamnetic, the manufacturer promises that the lashes should last up to 5 days. In my case, the lash look lasted 4 days, but I also have to admit that I didn’t pay much attention to caring for them. However, I think my overall impression of the application was rather postitive.
Of course, I also discovered some drawbacks of the Glamnetic kit. Apparently, it’s supposed to be a premium product, but in my opinion, it doesn’t look like one at all. The cluster lashes look fake enough for other people to notice. Other users also pointed out the same thing. So, the effect you can achieve with them is far from natural.
3. KISS Falscara Starter Kit
My third lash extension kit to test came from a brand I know well – the Falscara Starter Kit from the KISS range. Compared to the Nanolash kit, this one is definitely less cost-effective, as it contains only 10 cluster lashes. I usually use 4 to 5 clusters per eye, so the kit only lasted me for one application.
The kit includes BOND, SEAL, and an applicator. Unfortunately, there is no remover included, which meant that I had to use a product from another brand that I already had at home. For those who don’t have a remover, buying one involves additional costs, which makes the kit from KISS even less cost-effective.
In terms of application and quality of the lashes, I can’t say anything bad. The lash clusters were soft and easy to apply. However, the fact that the kit is limited to one lash look and lacks a remover, makes it not the most favorable option on the market.
4. Lilac St Intro Starter Kit
In my ranking, the next kit is the Intro Starter Kit from the renowned Lilac St. This kit contains 30 cluster lashes, which is comparable to the kit from Nanolash. The lashes come in three lengths: 10, 12, and 14 mm, enabling flexibility and customization for various occasions.
The set includes: Lilac Lash Glue in Clear, Crystal Coat, and Lilac Lash Applicator.
The eyelashes in the set are soft and delicate, making them look natural. The thin strip makes the application simple and hassle-free, although in my case, it required more attention and time. Thanks to the different lengths of the lashes, this set ensures a variety of styles, from subtle to more defined. The lashes lasted 5 days on my natural lashes without any touch-ups. This shows that the set is long-lasting and effective.
5. Tatti Lashes Invisi-Lash Kit
Next,I decided to try out the Invisi-Lash Kit, offered by the Tatti Lashes brand. In their range, you can find seven different lash styles, which gives you a wide choice. I opted for the Au Natural style, which, according to the manufacturer, gives a subtle effect. Indeed, the effect was subtle and it suited me very well.
The Tatti Lashes set can be purchased with lashes on a black or transparent strip. I chose the black strip because I always go for a more intense look. The starter kit also includes Invisi-Lash Bond, Seal Glue, a small pink brush, and a pink applicator.
The only downside of the Invisi-Lash Kit, as with the Falscar Starter Kit from KISS, was the lack of a remover. I had to use a product from another brand, which was a bit inconvenient.
6. Lashify Starter Kit
To test DIY cluster lashes from different price shelves, I reached for the kit from Lashify which is definitely more expensive than the previous products. My expectations were therefore very high.
The cluster lashes from Lashify look elegant and are soft, making the application quick and comfortable. They resemble real eyelashes, which further proves their quality.
They lasted for 5 days on my lashes, which is a big plus. However, the set contains only 10 cluster lashes, and considering the price, seems not very cost-effective, despite their high quality.
Summary of the DIY cluster lash ranking – which ones impressed me the most?
Each of the tested kits had its numerous advantages, although some brands also had significant drawbacks, like the lack of a remover.
After testing all the products, I can say that the best lash extensions starter kit is currently the Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit. The cluster lashes and products included in this kit feature excellent quality, and the price is very attractive as well. This is, of course, my subjective opinion. Each of you must decide for yourself which kit will be best for you.
