Nanobrow Eyebrow Pomade – application

How to define your eyebrows with the pomade? Nanobrow Eyebrow Pomade is applied basically like any other pomade, but I think it will be useful to describe my current brow makeup routine. Here is how I do it:

1. I grab my fave brow brush: to apply the pomade you will need a flat, beveled brush. Using its thin end, you can outline the eyebrows and add some hair-like strokes. And with the thicker side, you can easily fill in the whole brow with color. I literally pick up a bit of the pomade and outline my brows, starting from the bottom brow line, which is supposed to be defined a bit stronger. Remember to pay attention to creating the correct shape of your eyebrows at this stage.

2. Once I have outlined my eyebrow, I start filling it in with color. I start with the tail: I scoop up a little more pomade, if necessary, and fill in the tail moving forward to the inner eye corner, gradually wiping the pomade off the brush for a natural effect. This makes the tail darker and more intense, while the inner brow edge should be just delicately defined.

3. Finally, I reach for the brush or a spoolie and brush out the excess pomade to avoid any sharp edges and create natural makeup effects. Sometimes I set the complete look with a clear brow gel. This adds a nice three-dimensional effect to the complete makeup.

What kind of makeup effects can you get with the Nanobrow pomade?

Some people claim that brow pomade, thanks to the thick consistency, features too strong coverage that makeup made with it looks quite unnatural as it resembles eyebrows with fresh henna applied. Hmm…this is a misconception as brow makeup with a pomade can look really delicate, subtle, and very natural. It’s all about how much you fill in your eyebrows and whether you brush off the excess pomade with a spoolie. Eyebrow pomade is indeed quite thick and creamy and can give you very strong coverage, but it doesn’t have to look cartoonish at all. Of course, as with any other brow makeup product, you can also overdo the pomade and then the effect will not look pretty. That’s why I always try to apply a small amount of pomade at the beginning: I prefer to apply it gently and gradually and add some more if necessary, rather than immediately use a lot and create that unwanted overdrawn effect as a result.
