Most of us dream of long, thick, and naturally curled lashes. Unfortunately, not everyone is lucky enough to be born with naturally beautiful lashes. But luckily, there are solutions! Lash lift and lamination let us enjoy spectacular lash effects every day.
Lash lift lifts and curls our natural lashes, giving them a beautiful shape. Meanwhile, lamination strengthens, nourishes, and adds shine to them. As a result, the lashes appear healthier, thicker, and longer. Both techniques, when used together, create a salon-like effect that lasts for several weeks, making it worth using them together. I’m a living example of this!
I decided to compare several popular kits that will allow you to achieve the effect of defined and well-maintained lashes in the comfort of your own home. If you want to know how to choose the best kit and enjoy spectacular lashes daily, keep reading!
Comparison of lash lift and lamination kits
In my ranking, I included products from reputable beauty brands. I tested each of them on myself to give you the most information: what they contain, how they perform during application, and how long the effects last. Check out my comparison and choose the perfect kit for yourself.
1. Nanolash lash lift and lamination kit
I’ll start with the kit that turned out to be my absolute number one – the Nanolash Lash Lift Kit. This kit stole my heart thanks to its natural effect and durability. What else?
- It gives a salon-like effect. Thanks to it, my lashes were curled, long, and shiny for 8 weeks. For two months, I could enjoy my highlighted lashes.
- The kit is very safe and gentle, thanks to delicate ingredients that don’t irritate the eyes. I tend to have eye inflammations and allergic reactions, so the gentle formula was one of the most important factors in choosing my lash lift and lamination kit.
- It’s a very easy-to-use kit. Even if you’ve never done a lash lift and lamination before, you’ll manage just fine with this kit. I followed the step-by-step instructions, which were clearly described. As it turned out later, the application was almost child’s play.
- The kit contains all the essential products and accessories, including activator, neutralizer, glue, conditioner, rods, and lash combs. With such a comprehensive kit, there’s no need to purchase any extra items.
- The Nanolash kit is mid-priced, so I think it’s budget-friendly for most of you.
You might be wondering: Does it have any downsides? In my opinion, none! Unless you count becoming addicted to beautiful lashes as one?
2. RefectoCil Eyelash Lift
I was convinced to buy this kit mainly because of its practical packaging, as the kit comes in a makeup bag. This kit is from the higher price range. However, in my opinion, it’s the best choice if you’re just trying out your skills because it doesn’t work well for regular use. You can achieve longer and curled lashes, but the effect fades quickly, and the lashes return to their previous state.
The kit includes everything you need for at-home lash lift and lamination, such as combs and lash brushes, lifting lotion, neutralizer, and glue. This is more than enough for at-home lash lamination.
I also followed the instructions, which were clearly and simply explained, so you’ll have no problem understanding them either.
Unfortunately, the curled lash effect lasted only about 5 weeks in my case. I also experienced slight burning during the application, although this is supposedly rare. So, if you have sensitive eyes, you might want to find another budget-friendly kit. If not, I highly recommend it!
What I must admit is that this kit delivers good results for a reasonable price, so it’s worth considering.
3. MIYA LASH Keratin Lash Lift Kit
The MIYA LASH Keratin Lash Lift Kit is another set worth testing, mainly because it strengthens the lashes with keratin. As you probably know, sensitive eyes often lead to dry lashes, so the nourishing effect of this product makes the eye area look noticeably enhanced. Thanks to keratin, the lashes not only look beautiful but are also healthier and more flexible.
As for the results, my lashes were nicely curled and nourished for quite a long time, around 7 weeks.
The only downside for me was the application. Although I’m generally interested in skincare and usually have no problems with it, the MIYA set required special precision. It included too many gadgets that, instead of making the process easier, complicated it… The kit includes neutralizer, activator, glue, cleaner, nourishing serum, brushes, combs, applicators, and eye pads.
Even though it’s a long-lasting set, I wouldn’t recommend it, especially for first-timers.
4. Zola Protein Reconstruction System for brow lamination and lash lift
This kit appealed to me because it can be used not only for lashes but also for brows. I admit, its versatility won me over immediately, and I hoped it would be a great choice. After using it, my lashes and brows looked very natural, but I didn’t achieve the desired lash curl effect. In my opinion, it looked too plain. However, the effect lasted around 6 weeks, which is a decent result.
Zola is one of the more expensive kits, and the kit contents are quite limited… The kit contains only 3 items: emulsion, activator, and neutralizer. I definitely missed a good conditioner because after using the products, my lashes looked dry, and I had to nourish them by other means.
Moreover, the application took quite a while since I was doing both brow lamination and lash lift simultaneously. So, if you don’t like sitting idle during beauty treatments, this might bore you.
However, it’s an interesting choice if you’re looking for something versatile with a delicate effect lasting several weeks. Just make sure to purchase a trusted lash serum or conditioner!
5. Thuya Lash Lift Kit
I saved the Thuya lash lift kit for last because I think it’s a good kit for beginners. Mainly because the set is simple and has a well-explained instruction manual. The application process is easy, even if it’s your first time. The kit contains glue, gel, neutralizer, and rods, which is enough to try your hand at it.
The lifting effect lasted around 4 weeks for me. Unfortunately, it doesn’t contain keratin or other ingredients that could further strengthen the lashes. You can purchase serum or conditioner separately, but it’s a pity they aren’t included in the kit.
The Thuya Lash Lift Kit is still a good choice for beginners who want to try lash lifting without a big expense. It gives a natural effect of curled and thicker lashes, which makes it easy to get used to a change in your look. For long-term use, I’d recommend choosing other sets.
Lash Lift and Lamination – what to choose?
Choosing the perfect lash lift and lamination kit depends on what you expect and how much you’re willing to spend. If you want professional results and safety, the Nanolash Lash Lift Kit will be a great choice.
For those of you looking for something different with less durable but still effective results, the other products are a reliable choice. Remember to check the product ingredients and instructions carefully to ensure that the lash lift and lamination are safe for your eyes!
