Globetrotter’s Beauty Care. My 10 Travel Essentials

Hello, my beautiful adventurers!

Are you getting ready for a great trip?

Are you planning on a trip, holiday, training or a crazy/romantic weekend?

You probably have the same feelings as I used to have. When it comes to packing your bag, you would love to pack the whole bathroom into a separate luggage for your lipsticks, balms, shampoos. I know you think you will need them all. I used to think the same… that each and every cosmetic would be useful.

I could not close the suitcase…

My boyfriend looked suspiciously while I was putting all my jars, bottles and tubes on the hotel dressing table. He must have wondered: ‘she has secretly extended our stay’… 🙂

Believe it or not, you need a few products to ensure amazing looks and have all the necessary things. Just think: you will have more room for an extra pair of shoes, dress, book… Another plus? Instead of spending hours in the bathroom, you lie on the beach, visit romantic corners of big cities, admire the views from the summit of Mont Blanc or spend time with a beloved one in a charming place and enjoy the intimacy.

To the bottom line… Here is my clever list of cosmetics that will let you be a queen of summer resorts as well as make your holiday life much easier. Let’s name it…

… THE LIST OF A BEAUTIFUL GLOBETROTTER

  1. BB or CC cream instead of a foundation and make-up primer. No make-up is the best idea for summer. But if you feel you must apply some foundation, go for a lightweight, coloring cream.
  2. Shampoo and shower gel 2in1 – one instead of two bottles. Great, isn’t it?
  3. Holika Holika Aloe 99% Soothing Gel. It has several functions. The gel replaces a hair conditioner, facial cream, body balm, hand lotion. If you will not be away long, choose the smaller version. A stunner for every adventurer! <3
  4. Sun and post-sun creams. Nothing surprising. Sun protection is a must. High SPF is necessary; you can replace it with a lower one after a few days. I often take mini versions and when I use them up, I buy new ones with the lower SPF on the spot.
  5. Antiperspirant and a light body mist. Perfume does not work in summer because (sadly) it can cause discolored skin. Light, subtle and skin conditioning sprays are perfect. These are offered e.g. by Biotherm. You can use it whenever you like and apply to the whole body.
  6. Natural oil – I use it for removing make-up, massaging the body skin after sunbathes, protecting my hair ends, conditioning the under-eye skin. Sweet almond oil will be ideal. It is delicate and soothes every irritation. Avocado oil also provides great hair and skin care. It is a source of good fatty acids and as many as seven vitamins that nourish both the skin and hairdo. Oils are available in small versions – 15 ml bottles. Perfect capacity for a trip.
  7. Travel-size bamboo powder (I take a puff instead of a brush as it takes less room and I can put it in the powder box), mascara and an eyebrow pencil – the absolute minimum for make-up. I add Avon multitasking duo – 2in1 blush and highlighter. You can use it for strobbing, illuminating eyelids or corners of the eyes, enhancing lips and cheeks. While travelling, I always remember about a mini version (4 ml) of Benetint liquid brush blush.
  8. Protective lip balm – it is small, fits everywhere, helps dry and chapped lips in summer.
  9. Evree feet moisturiser and atomiser antiperspirant – brilliant and multitasking. It moisturises, refreshes, conditions the skin. Easy to use. When I plan on trekking, I take travel-size mentholated foot talc.
  10. You will be surprised: activated charcoal capsules. It does not only protect my stomach from new food but also works as an ingredient of a cleansing facial mask. Aspirin works in a similar way: as medicine or you can use it to soothe tired feet. Mix two capsules with water and soak your feet in 🙂

That is all about the beauty care.

Unless you treat anti-mosquito or tick sprays as beauty products… These are the first things I pack.

These ‘beauty bits and pieces’ take very little space.

Did I help you pack all beauty essentials? Hope so!

Enjoy your holiday! <3 <3
